There are three things you can do to extend the life of your carpet: These three things are essential if you want your carpet to last. What are they? VACUUM! VACUUM! VACUUM! 


If you ask any carpet installer how much heavier the carpet he is taking out of your home is than the carpet he is installing, he’ll tell you its full of dirt.


Regular vacuuming can stop the process of the soil migrating down through your carpet and your pad. 


Like any other fiber, carpet will last longer with the proper maintenance. Vacuuming on a regular basis will help keep abrasive dirt and debris from prematurely staining and wearing your carpet fiber. 


Another thing to avoid is to clean your carpets with soap and harsh chemicals. Often these cleaning processes will leave a sticky residue and will actually help collect more of those abrasive dirt and debris. 


We recommend professional carpet cleaning at least once a year – every 6 months if you have pets, or small children playing on the carpet.
